Parent Volunteer Association
NCA encourages parents, teachers, and community members to volunteer through the Parent Volunteer Association (PVA). The PVA supports the mission of the school by providing assistance with special events, campus and classroom operations, teacher appreciation and support, community building, and more. The PVA works hand-in-hand with the Administration and is not an independent non-profit, but rather a department of the school. To volunteer, please email pva@nwclassical.org.
Most volunteers at NCA hold Level 2 Volunteer status in order to enjoy a greater variety of opportunities to serve.
LEVEL 2 VOLUNTEERS
LEVEL 2 VOLUNTEERS are non-NCA personnel who will have supervised interaction with students, for example. cafeteria helpers, reading group leaders, room parents, club and after-school helpers, etc. Level 2 volunteers may move freely about the campus in performing volunteer work, but Level 2 volunteers are not authorized to have unsupervised access to students. On field trips and other rare occasions, or in case of an emergency, if a school employee is not available to supervise, no fewer than two adult Level 2 volunteers, who are not married to each other nor have children together, must be present with students at all times. Level 2 volunteers will wear a Level 2 volunteer badge at all times while volunteering on campus. The volunteer badge will be given to them by the front office upon check-in.

LUNCH MONITOR PROGRAM
One of the most impactful service opportunities through the PVA is the Lunch Monitor Program. The lunch monitor program provides parents with an opportunity to interact with students during the school day - assisting with opening lunches, serving meal orders, and simply smiling at the students. Volunteers assisting with this program have an additional training requirement.
Lunch Monitor Training is now included in the Level 2 Volunteer Training. There is no longer a separate training.
